Peachy Pizza

Ingredients:

Dough

1 container, store bought pizza dough

Sauce

2 tbsp. unsalted butter
2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1 1/4 cup whole milk
1/4 tsp. sea salt
1/8 tsp. black pepper
2 garlic cloves, pressed
1/4 cup parmesan, shredded

Toppings

1/2 cup arugula
canadian bacon
1/2 cup yellow peaches, sliced
1 cup mozzarella, shredded
balsamic glaze, for drizzle

Steps:

Step 1

Preheat oven to 475 degrees.

Step 2

Make your homemade pizza sauce!

Melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour constantly for 1-2 minutes.

Step 3

Slowly add in the milk, whisking constantly, until the mixture begins to thicken and boil.

Step 4

Whisk in sea salt, black pepper, and garlic.

Step 5

Add in the parmesan cheese and whisk together for another minute. Remove from heat and whisk until the cheese has melted and been incorporated into the sauce. Set aside to cool.

Step 6

Take your store bought pizza dough and roll into a ball. Using a rolling pin begin to form the crust of your pizza.

Step 7

Once you are happy with the thickness and shape, place your dough onto parchment paper and on a cookie sheet. You can then begin forming your pizza by adding the sauce and toppings.

Step 8

Place your pizza in the oven at 475 degrees for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
