About Family Tree Farms
Nestled in the heart of the Central San Joaquin Valley, we take pride in being one of the largest family-owned farming operations where we grow, pack and ship more than 86 million pounds of the most flavorful stone fruit and blueberries in California, Mexico and Peru.
That’s A LOT of fruit!
But it’s not just about how much we produce. We believe a meaningful and fruitful life is built on a foundation of faith, hard work and integrity. After many conversations around the dinner table we came together and developed a vision for the family farm that focused on producing fruit that had a flavor profile like no other.
Together, we visited fruit tree nurseries around the world in search of varieties that had superior flavor. After hand-picking the best of the best, hundreds of varieties, we developed farming practices that nurtured the fruit and protected its best qualities; meaning fruit would only be picked at its peak ripeness and would then be delicately packed on its way to the table.
That’s where YOU come in. It was the smiles from customers around the world and significant growth in business that would lead us to be known as farmers who were passionate about the quality and taste of their fruit.
And if you can believe it, the family set a 2018 Guinness World Record for the largest blueberry in the world!
We’ve grown quite a bit since we started in 2001, but the one thing that hasn’t changed is our commitment to producing the highest quality stone fruit and blueberries.

To find the most flavorful fruit in the world, we’ve traveled the world extensively. We’ve partnered with many of the world’s top plant breeders, securing the exclusive rights to grow their best varieties on our farms. Our Research & Development Center is truly one-of-a-kind – and you may have even waved if you’ve seen us while driving through the Central Valley.
Farming is an art, but also science as well. That’s where our extensive research facility allows us to grow and test new varietals as well as evaluate the flavor of the fruit. Many of these cutting-edge varieties are now in the early years of production, with more coming to plates across the world each and every year.
Our first shining success came with white-fleshed peaches and nectarines. White flesh varieties are known for their intensely sweet profile and are prized by many backyard growers. But why weren’t they found in the grocery store? At the time, most farmers wouldn’t grow them because of how delicate the fruit was. Committed to growing the best fruit, Family Tree Farms’ new varieties and farming practices brought white flesh varieties to grocery markets across America and Asia, setting a new standard for growers throughout the world.
Okay, we get it. You might have been walking through the grocery store and asked yourself, “What is a plumcot?!” Well, we weren’t afraid to shake things up when we started growing plumcots (also known as Pluots) The perfect blend of flavor and texture of a plum and an apricot, is non-GMO, and brings each person who bites into one a mouthwatering fusion of flavors.
Plumcots have a distinct appearance, color and size. Family Tree Farms’ most notable plumcot is a speckled green “Flavor Gator.” Slice into one and you’ll find a deep, red interior that is packed with juicy sweetness. “Flavor Gator” is one of more than 20 different Family Tree Farms plumcot varieties.
